My favorite time of year is spring. All of the azaleas are in bloom, the weather is beautiful and the Easter Bunny is coming. The cutest thing I have ever purchased for my children is our wooden Easter Bunny basket. Thanks to my good bud, Sarah, for filling me in on this Charlotte tradition. These hand-painted baskets are PRESH and my kids so look forward to pulling them out and filling them with eggs. So where do you find these baskets? The only place in the country is at the Buttercup in Myers Park located at 343 Providence Road (no website available for this traditional boutique:-) The ladies at the Buttercup have been painting these beautiful baskets for over 30 years. You can order yours until the week before Easter and they will guarantee delivery by Easter. One could be yours for $54 – make sure you tell them Charlotte Smarty Pants sent you! Sounds pricey but so worth the splurge. We plan on keeping ours forever and they will always remind us of our roots in Charlotte.
