IF YOU ARE FLYING OUT OF CHARLOTTE:
–One more reminder to those flying for Thanksgiving, read my post on flying out of Charlotte with kids, it has links to help you check the parking situation. You can also check in 24 hours in advance on Usair.com and also check flight status. Charlotte.com has up to the minute reports on airport info today and they have just posted that the long-term and remote parking decks are closed.
IF YOU ARE DRIVING OUT OF CHARLOTTE TODAY:
Check Charlotte.com’s traffic page before you leave so you can avoid any accidents.
IF YOU WILL BE IN TOWN:
–All Harris Teeter stores close at 2pm Thanksgiving Day and reopen Friday at 8am.
–The SouthPark tree lighting festivities beginning TONIGHT at 6pm in Symphony Park, 7pm is the actual lighting of tree.
–The Thankgiving parade downtown is at 1pm Thanksgiving Day, more info at my posting about this event.
–No Charlotte garbage pick up Thursday, but they do pick up Friday. Charlotte banks and post offices are open Friday.
