Do you have young boys? Is the thought of yet another bounce house birthday party looking a bit tired to you? As a mom of 3 boys, it seems I have begun to lose my creativity in the party planning area. Thus the search for fresh ideas…
Some friends recently invited us to a Super Hero summer birthday party. It sounded fun to my kids. Dressing as your favorite cape crusader was also intriguing to me. We arrived (Superman, Wonder Woman, Jake from the Neverland Pirates and I) to an awesome backyard wonderland. It was complete with skyscrapers created by Mom and Dad, a professional face painter, food galore and spirited preschoolers. They were defending our fair city from villains or naughty guys as they are affectionately known at my house. To end the event on a serious high, each child received their very own monogrammed cape to take home. My family alone could break the party budget. As we were leaving, my son had to tell the hostess that “This was the best party EVER!” Kuddos to the Luciano Family for passing the test of a discriminating 4-year-old. This however, further illuminates the need for something different.
