    Happy Wednesday Smarties! As we wake up the morning after the election and breathe a sigh of relief that the robocalls will stop and the pamphlets in the mailbox will go away, we can look forward to the weekend. And there is a lot to look forward to! The Symphony Lollipops series is back, The Southern Christmas Show is here, Sheepdogs are showing off at the lake and there is a fashion show at a bowling alley! How to decide, how to decide!? Just get out and enjoy!

    Charlotte Symphony Lollipops: Carnivals and Clowns
    Blumenthal Performing Arts Center
    November 10, 11:00am
    Jacomo Rafael Bairos, conducting with Drew Allison and Grey Seal Puppets Come one, come all as Drew Allison and his Grey Seal Puppets perform this colorful celebration of clowns and the circus! This program features a special retelling of the Russian tale of Petrushka, the straw puppet that comes to life accompanied by Igor Stravinsky’s brilliant musical score. Cost is $15.50-$24.50.

    Happy Wednesday and Happy Halloween! Thiss weekend you ca help support our public Libraries by participating in the Rock and Read, the best part – you can donate without have to run!! Rebuild a wreck or watch a wreck, you can do both. Find your rebuildable treasure at the Metrolina Fall Extravaganza or watch a memorable wreck at the Nascar Hall of Fame, both are tons of fun. Both are tons of fun! Get out and enjoy.

    2012-2013 Lollipops Family Concerts
    Concerts take place at 11 a.m. at the Knight Theater; pre-concert festivals begin at 10 a.m. in the Knight Theater Lobby. Family Day at the Bechtler Museum takes place from noon – 4:30 p.m. after each Lollipops concert.
