Original Production and Choreography by Gay Porter and Bridget Porter Young, blending internationally-renown professional principles with local youth dancers for imaginative, family-friendly experience.
The Charlotte Youth Ballet (CYB) will present Tchaikovsky’s classic holiday production “The Nutcracker.” At Dale F. Halton Theater on the CPCC’s main Campus. This small venue boast, excellent views of the stage from all seats and reasonably priced tickets for a memorable holiday experience. Charlotte Youth Ballet’s professional Nutcracker production makes for a nice introduction to classical ballet for all ages, tiny tots to seniors. This will mark the 35th season of the non-profit regional ballet company’s presentation of this holiday classic.
This amazing production features more than 100 dancers, blending of international guest artists and regional youth dancers, creating a magical experience. While true to the classic production, this choreography also offers unique twists to the fairytale that will delight and astound audiences of all ages. Following the show, audience members will have the opportunity to get autographs from dancers as well as have photographs made with performers including, the Sugar Plum Fairy, the Nutcracker Prince, Clara and more.
Performances are Friday, December 2nd at 7:00 pm; Saturday, December 3rd at 2:00 pm and 7:00 pm; and Sunday, December 4th at 2:30 pm. Special preview performances for students and seniors are at 9:30 am and 11:30 am on Friday December 2nd. All shows are at the Dale F. Halton Theater on the CPCC main campus. Parking is free.
