Bring your creativity to iMakeCLT – South End Community Make Day, a FREE event designed to let everyone create meaningful projects using tools that they may not normally have access to. It takes place Saturday, June 18th, 2016, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at C3Lab, 2525 Distribution Street.
iMakeCLT is a family-friendly FREE event that will provide a pop-up space for neighbors from all over Charlotte to connect and create meaningful projects. Attendees of all ages can interact with artists and makers and take part in activities like book binding, micro-farming, laser cut paper arts, stop motion animation, 3D printing, Lego robotics, and much more. Healthy, fun food will be available for purchase from the local non profit, Friendship Trays.
iMakeCLT celebrates and encourages the mind-set that everyone is a maker! Participants can explore and use their imagination to be inspired and create. Being able to utilize tools and technology not readily available unlocks everyone’s creative potential. There will even be a raffle to win your own cool 3D printer to take home that day (must be present to win).
