I don’t want to pull a muscle patting myself on the back, but I made my own pumpkin cold foam cold brew. Yep. I did. And it was awesome! And pretty easy. You might even have all the ingredients in your house right now. What a great way to celebrate Halloween !
I love making all sorts of coffee treats at home! Less expensive, of course, but also I can control the ingredients and sweetness. I love making Vietnamese Iced Coffee at home, homemade Bailey’s liqueur, even homemade coffee ice cream. To get into the fall season, I decided it was time to try something pumpkin!
How To Make Your Own Cold Brew Coffee
If you’ve never made cold brew before, it’s pretty easy. I use one cup of freshly ground coffee (coarsely ground) to 4 cups of cold water. Stir with a wooden spoon. Let brew at least overnight. Stir. Drain through a filter. Store in the fridge! That’s it. So easy.
How To Make Pumpkin Cold Foam
I am still perfecting the pumpkin cold foam recipe but this is what worked for me…
Ingredients
1 cup cream
1 cup milk
⅓ c pumpkin puree
3 tablespoons brown sugar
1-2 teaspoons cinnamon
Directions
In my blender, I added 1 cup of cream, 1 cup of milk, 1/3 cup of pumpkin purée, 3 tablespoons brown sugar, and about 1-2 teaspoons cinnamon. Blend. It will be thick! Serve immediately if you wish or store in the fridge.
I stored my pumpkin cold foam in a mason jar with a plastic lid and just shook it up when I wanted to use it. So easy. Super delicious.
And I just saved you A LOT of money.
