Fourth of July celebrations all around the QC have been cancelled but we still have some options to at least watch fireworks, while practicing social distancing and wearing masks of course. We’ve rounded up the shows to watch, but make sure you check each event before you go (websites and Facebook pages are linked below). Because as we all know, things can change day by day ~ even hour by hour.
Tega Cay’s 4th of July Celebration (Fireworks Only)

Saturday July 4th they will have professional Fireworks and 2 movies:
Screen 1: 1984 Ghostbuster & Deadpool
Screen 2: The Jungle Book & My Spy
Gates open at 5pm. Fireworks start at 9:00ish. Movies will start immediately after the Fireworks. $20.00 per carload. You can purchase tickets online at or purchase tickets at the gate. Doublecheck here on day of event.
Cavendish Brewing Company July 4th Fireworks on the Patio
Saturday, July 4th from 7:00-11:00pm

The brewery patio is the perfect family friendly location to watch the City of Gastonia’s fireworks display! With our all glass window-front facing downtown and tons of patio chairs and picnic tables, we well have the best view in town!

If you’re in SouthPark, ride your bikes over to Carmel Country Club. They have always had the best fireworks in the area!
