What an awesome week! Could we ask for better weather? Time to look forward to the weekend. There are a ton of things to do around town. Some are Valentine themed and are great family activities and others are just great ways to spend a day. My hubby wants me to plug the Monster Jam – he does this every year with our son and it has been a 5 year hit (make sure you take ear protection). ImaginOn is again the host for all things kids – great plays to the Musical Petting Zoo. Have a great Valentine weekend!

Jen,My husband is taking our 2 and a half year old son to the monster truck show this weekend (glad to hear it’s hit with your family too!)and I’m glad you mentioned ear protection– I wondered if it was going to be pretty loud! Do you have any suggestions on what kind of ear protection to use for the kids or where to get it?? Thanks!
Your husband and son are going to have so much fun! Robert recommends going to Dicks Sporting Goods and for your son getting the “clam shell” ear covers. These are usually where they sell the guns. Your husband will probably be ok with the ear plugs that you can also get from Dicks. Here is a link to what they look like online:http://www.dickssportinggoods.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3160318 and for your husband:http://www.dickssportinggoods.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2963181
Thank you so much for the information!! 🙂
If you want to participate in the Backyard Bird day, that is part of the Nature Center’s Creature Feature program. The hours are 10-1. The nature center itself is open until 5:00.
