The Great Easter Egg Roll

SouthPark is proud to announce that this Easter, the Simon Kidgits Club will be bringing a celebrated White House tradition down south. Since 1878, The White House Easter Egg Roll presidential lawn has been an admired American tradition and SouthPark is thrilled to bring the experience to Charlotte families! The Great Easter Egg Roll will kick off with children competing to push decorative eggs down the lawn – the first to hop through the finish line wins! Children in attendance will have the opportunity to participate in Easter-themed activities, enjoy a round of miniature golf, play on tennis courts provided by Top Spin and visit with the Bunny himself. Children must be a Kidgits member to attend – a $5 membership includes a fun-filled year of Kidgits activities! Dyeing Eggs the Natural Way

Come out to the farm for a great day of educational fun with the staff and volunteers of Historic Rural Hill as we demonstrate how everyday materials can be used to dye eggs for the Easter Holiday! Great fun for young and old alike, learn how and why normal eggs were dyed and decorated in the days before plastic. Students will be given the opportunity to dye eggs using three methods, full soak, wax resist, and contact resist. Even better, once the day is done each student will be invited on a group hayride and have their own basket of naturally dyed eggs to take home and keep. Program cost is $15 per student.
