27th Annual Seagrove Pottery Festival
Seagrove School, 528 Old Plank Road, Seagrove, NC

See the work of the largest pottery community in the US. Seagrove area potters and traditional craftsmen will be demonstrating and selling their wares. Food available on site. This is the only time of the year that most of the Seagrove area potters sell their pots at one location. The festival emphasizes hand-made pottery and traditional crafts. On the last day of the Festival at 4:00 p.m., a limited edition pottery auction is held, with pieces signed and dated for this event by local potters. Refreshments as well as a parcel check will be available throughout the Festival. Cost is $6-$12.
Tarradiddle Tales

Explore four simple folk tales from four different countries: “The Magic Tree,” a Bantu folk tale; “Peter the Fool,” a Danish story; “Spider Talk,” an Anansi story from Ghana; and “Tiger Trap,” from India. Three actors tell the tales in a playful storytelling style that makes clever use of colorful prop pieces and involves audience interaction. For ages 3-5. Cost is $10-$12. All tickets are sold out except for the 4:00pm Sunday performance. Check it out, your little ones will love it!
5th Annual Simon Evening of Giving

A private shopping and entertainment event that will raise funds for local, regional and national organizations. Sponsored by the Carolinas Medical Center to benefit Levine Children’s Hospital and other local charities, the event will feature exclusive store discounts throughout the mall, family entertainment, food samplings, a silent auction and more.
