Meet our newest Smarty Sponsor, kixx shoes located in Parktowne Village Shopping Center (across from Park Road Shopping Center) and right next to Polka Dot Bake Shop. This is a perfect outing – take your kids to pick out their shoes and then treat them to a cupcake right next door. Beautiful bribery!
kixx was started by two moms, Jennifer Kennedy and Ashley Meeks. We love to support our local mompreneurs! These ladies knew what they were doing and created a kid-friendly and mom-friendly shoe boutique. They have Legos, bean bag chairs and a TV for entertainment since not all kiddies enjoy the process of shoe-shopping. Not to mention, Jennifer and Ashley are such a breath of fresh air when you walk in with four little ones not very excited to buy shoes. They didn’t even get mad at me when Isabel accidentally ripped a shelf right off the wall (she really wasn’t being a monster, she was just reaching up to find that perfect sparkly shoe!).
kixx offers one of the coolest selections of kids’ shoes in town, from newborns all the way up to young teens. Smarty tip: for those of you with kids with “special” feet, kixx features hard-to-find narrows, wides and extra wides. You’ll find a fabulous new boot selection from Umi, Nine West and Primigi. Also look for fun and funky brands like Kid Express, Vincent (love these, especially for boys!), Sketchers, Michael Kors, See Kai Run, Saucony, Kenneth Cole, the eco-friendly Simple (these are super groovy!), and China Doll (sparkly, beaded Mary Janes). Coming any day now is Puma and Tretorn. For some reason, I have had Tretorn on my mind lately, maybe it’s my new addiction to Facebook reliving my high school days, so I was pretty excited to read about this new score! Ansley will definitely be sporting these new kicks when she outgrows her current stash. In the spring, they will carry Naturino, Superga, and Footmates to name a few. You’ll also find some adorable accessories including Girly Girl barrettes and headbands adorned with Swavorski crystals, and Monkey Lisa wide headbands. Gift certificates are available too.
We love kixx and hope you will too! Mention CSP and receive $5 off each pair of shoes through 11/9. Thank you, kixx!

I love this new store. They were great to work with. One of my kids is very difficult to fit – super narrow foot – and they were so patient with her and super knowledgable about their shoes and what would work. I highly recommend!!
I can’t say enough great things about Kixx, my twin girls shoes tore and Ashley called, got replacement ones and was so great to deal with…truely a nice treat, not always the case with other shoe stores in CLT. Pass the word along, let’s get these ladies lots of business!!
What are the price ranges for the shoes at Kixx?
Hooray! A new option for my daughter’s super narrow feet and my son’s extra wide! So excited….can’t wait until we need shoes again!
I love this store. My son has wide feet and the only place I had been able to find his size (in velcro) was Stride Rite, so he has had the same shoe in different sizes for a few years. The store was great and they were so helpful and nice, and got some great shoes. I am hoping to head in there tomorrow for some church shoes.
I recently shopped at this store and they were very patient with my daughter who is shy around new people. I loved the time and personal touch they put into our shopping experience. It was a much more pleasant shopping trip then we have had at another popular children’s shoe store in the mall 🙂
I agree – they are super friendly and helpful. Definitely not the snobbish feel of another kids shoe store in town. I think prices are around $30 and up.
Generally, our prices range from $30 to $80 for shoes, $50 to $100 for boots (Nine West, Umi & Primigi), and $60 to $120 for kids' and women's Sanita clogs. Thanks for all the nice comments! Come see us soon!
I drove from LKN to buy from Kixx cause I like to support those businesses supporting us (no brainer here). Kixx got such glowing comments on CSP and believe me they did NOT disappoint when I marched in there with two 18-month-olds in tow! Everyone was SO helpful and patient and it’s SO kid friendly, one twin could play with puzzles or legos while the other tried on shoes. Worth the drive for me and my family and I’m so happy to be supporting mompreneurs that welcome my family thru their doors with open arms! Thanks, Kixx!
Just had a great experience here. Thanks for informing me about this wonderful store!
