I knew how fun an Atomz Lab science party could be after taking my twin sons to one at a friend’s house last year, but after hosting one for their 6th birthday party this past weekend? I’m totally sold!
What a fantastic way to bring smiles to young faces and with the ease of watching it all unfold before you! All I had to do was supply cupcakes and party favors, send the invites, decorate a bit and then sit back and enjoy the ride!
We had 26 kids over to my sister’s house for a Glow It Up party – one of the 10 different themes Atomz Lab cooks up for amazing birthday fun. And while the number of guests seemed a bit daunting, it was totally manageable with Atomz Lab founder Dawn Ballway leading the way.
The kids were enraptured by Dawn’s lessons about fluorescence, bioluminescence, UV light and more. You knew they were doing more than just having fun, they were learning something too. And after not only watching her do demonstrations but getting to participate in their own, you also knew it was the kind of learning that would last.
Dawn had enough fun and games to keep the kids going for an hour! And she brought all the supplies, an assistant to help her set up, execute and clean up all the fun. And for all those mamas like me who have kids constantly asking to make snow, create volcano explosions and all those messy activities, they get it all in one action-packed hour.
Our kids got to mix up florescent crystals in test tubes and see them glow under a blacklight, They made bracelets with beads that charge up with sunlight and turn bright colors as a result. My boys have been wearing them all weekend. And best of all, they got to make their own glow-in-the-dark slime!
So many fun activities and they got to take all their creations home for more play later.
One of my sons had a friend tell him after the party that it was the best birthday party he’d been to in seven years. Since the boy was 7 years old, we’re thinking that as a good sign! (Wink.)
