Father’s Day is always celebrated on the third Sunday in June. This year, Father’s Day takes on a new meaning for me. You see, I recently lost my father to Alzheimer’s disease. This blog is in memory of him and is a tribute to all the hard-working dads and father figures out there.
Here are some terrific books from the Charlotte Mecklenburg Public Library to enjoy for Father’s Day! If you are a kiddo, show off your reading skills by being the storyteller. Or try some partner reading. Or ham it up and act out some reader’s theater with your dad or try to stump him with jokes and riddles. You could also try some interactive activities with your dad – like tackling a new recipe or a new craft (which still involve some reading.) Time together is the best gift of all!
