Baseball is back! Just when you needed something fun to do with the kiddos over spring break, we’ve got you covered! The Charlotte Knights open their 2022 season tonight (Tuesday, April 12) at Truist Field at 6:35 p.m. against the Memphis Redbirds. Tickets are still available. Spend a nice evening out with friends and family, just as the weather is starting to warm up, and enjoy the beautiful backdrop of uptown Charlotte behind the outfield fence. It’s truly a unique experience in minor league baseball, and it’s right here in Charlotte!
If you’re a little slow on the uptake for getting out there tonight, just consider this post a friendly reminder that the Triple-A baseball season is upon us. This is a good time to plan ahead if you’re thinking of taking your child’s Little League team out to a game this spring or summer or maybe you’re already thinking ahead for some July 4th plans. Going to a Knights game is such an easy way to get access to fireworks! Unfortunately, the Knights are on the road for July 4th this year BUT they will be hosting a Team USA game that night instead, starting at 6:05 p.m. with a fireworks show to follow. For information on tickets for that game, click here.
If you’ve got other plans on July 4th, keep in mind Truist Field has fireworks shows every home Friday night. There are also Wine Wednesdays and Thirsty Thursdays promotions for some discount bevvies. Kids can run the bases after day games on home Sunday afternoons. And another key date to be on the lookout for is June 19, when the Knights are at home on Father’s Day at 5:05 p.m. against Jacksonville. Also, the ACC Baseball Championship will be held at Truist Field on May 24-29, while the Knights are on the road .
