Just like that summer is here, and it’s time to break out the bathing suits. But we are moms and we stress eat and we don’t have enough time to exercise, and oh yeah – we are just coming out of an, um, pandemic! Not to worry, Smarties. We’ve got a great way to get back in shape, to feel good about yourself again and to get healthy. Jen Dufresne is a mother of three and a kick-butt physical trainer who recently opened her own fitness studio called Cross Conditioning Training near Cotswold Shopping Center in South Charlotte. She is offering Smarties a chance to win a 10-class pack to CCT, valued at $200. Whether you want to work out once a week or five days a week, just imagine how great you’ll feel in just a few weeks’ time.
CCT offers an array of fitness classes to small groups – no more than 10 people at a time or in groups of four. That means you’re guaranteed personal attention from Jen! She will call you by name throughout the class, help keep you in the proper form and feel encouraged throughout. I’ve done both the strength class – which is a great complement when you’re getting your cardio on your own – and a conditioning class, which gives you a little of both.
CCT has strength training classes on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays and conditioning classes on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. CCT will also be hosting an offsite workout on Saturday June 5 at 8 a.m. at Chef Alyssa’s Kitchen. Fresh brunch from Chef Alyssa will be served after the workout at 9 a.m. Cost for the workout is $15. Brunch can be preordered.

Need to work on my arms!!
So excited for this studio to open in my neighborhood! Can’t wait to get back to working out after just having my second baby and work on staying strong mentally and physically!
