Smarty Small Business Spotlight: Mosquito Mama

This was certainly a different Mother’s Day than I could have anticipated. As always, we made the most of it and really appreciated the small things and it was really pleasant to focus on family time without a lot of distractions or rushing around. With our daughter, Sofia’s, heart condition we are still very hesitant to go out even though that is now starting to become an option again. We’ll get there and looking forward to getting back in a normal routine. Baby steps.

Speaking of baby steps, Sofia’s 2nd birthday is approaching on the 20th of this month and while we were planning a trip to Disney World to celebrate her big day with her favorites, Anna & Elsa, at Akershus in Epcot. Instead, we will be posted up at home with BJ on the grill and the 3 of us hanging outside. Now more than ever, I really appreciate having our yard treated for mosquitoes. We spend so much more time outside and this spring has been so mild, minus the rain. It’s one less thing that I have to lather her up with before we head outside in between her nap and dinner. With a morning full of My Gym online classes, online PT and online speech, it really is nice to go out (when it isn’t raining) and just let her scoot around. We’re still working on the whole walking thing. 😊
