The Produce Box’s Thanksgiving Recipe Ideas
If you’re looking for a starter, look no further than Sweet Potato and Butternut Squash Soup from The Produce Box’s Chef Joe. The Sweet Potato Soufflé will be a great treat and something your family might not have tasted before, and their Sweet Potato Pie made from scratch will have you swearing off the store-bought versions.
Use whatever delicious, local root vegetables you have – including Beets, Turnips, Onions, Radish, Sweet Potatoes – dice and roast them in the oven for a short time. Not only do these taste wonderful but they also make a beautiful, colorful display on your holiday table!
And last but certainly not least, don’t forget those sweet, juicy North Carolina apples. Whether you use them in your stuffing, bake them in a bread or use them as the grand finale in a pie or crisp (Chef Joe’s Apple Cranberry Crisp recipe is a Produce Box favorite!), they are the perfect finish to a farm-to-table Thanksgiving dinner!
