It’s officially October, which means it’s the unofficial start to the holiday season (you know the story: October is Halloween, which is basically Thanksgiving, which might as well be Christmas!). Start thinking hostess gifts, teacher gifts, gal pal gifts, and thank you notes with a set of original notecards by some amazing young local artists: children in the Grier’s Gallery Artist in Residence program at Novant Health Hemby Children’s Hospital.
Grier’s Gallery was founded in memory of Grier Christenbury, a wonderful 9-year-old boy, who lost his battle to neuroblastoma cancer in November 2013.
Their mission is to bring the healing and restorative power of art to children facing medical challenges. Once a month, Grier’s Gallery hosts an Artist in Residence program to bring local artists to Novant Health Hemby Children’s Hospital as a part of the ongoing Creative Arts Educational Programming. Grier’s Gallery notecards illustrate some of these original works of art created by the children. ALL proceeds of the notecards support Grier’s Gallery and Artist in Residence program to bring local artists to the patients to inspire, create and nurture.
A pack of 10 original artwork (blank inside) notecards is only $15 and all cards are different. If you are interested in purchasing a pack of notecards, please email catherinehensley5@gmail.com.
