You love the library. You enjoy taking your children to storytimes, appreciate the convenience of checking out materials for your entire family in one trip, and are constantly using our new website to place holds and check our updated catalog for your next favorite read.
But, did you know that the Library also has an extensive collection of FREE digital downloads for e-readers and smartphones, including e-books, audiobooks, e-magazines, music and movies?
Here is a run-down of some of our most popular digital services and what they offer – all available for FREE with your library card:
– Overdrive offers e-books, audiobooks, music and e-flicks. There are also reading rooms within Overdrive for Kids and Teen collections.
– Freading offers no waiting! This service allows for multi-user downloads so they are always available; you never have to wait for a title. Cardholders receive three downloads per week.
– Freegal Music is a downloadable music service offering access to Sony Music’s catalog of legendary artists. Cardholders can download five songs a week from 10,000 labels. Cardholders can keep the songs in their music libraries.
– Zinio is a digital magazine service with hundreds of magazines to view online on your PC, tablets and smart phones.
– OneClickdigital is a downloadable audiobook service that provides customers with adult, children’s and teen audiobooks. Audiobooks can be listened to via your desktop, smart phone or tablet.
– TumbleBooks is a collection of animated, talking picture books. TumbleBooks can be read by you or to you! Our TumbleBook collection includes story books, books in French and Spanish for language learning, read-along books, non-fiction books, puzzles, games, math stories and graphic novels.
There’s more where that came from. Check out our website for more digital services and even more online resources.
And, if you need help, the Library also offers assistance learning how to use and download e-books to your device. You can sign up for one-on-one training, attend a class or pop in during one of the scheduled drop-in sessions. Check our calendar for available learning sessions, or contact your local library.
All you need is a library card.
