Whether you are traveling the country with family, going to the local spray ground, or participating in camps around the community, summer is a most magical time of year. Here at Palisades Episcopal School we believe that learning can and should be fun and exciting all year long. Summer, however, offers a chance to dive deeper into hobbies and skill sets that don’t always fit neatly into traditional school subjects. 
Chefs in the making can join our No-Bake Cooking Camp to learn the skills of kitchen safety, food prep, following and doubling recipes all while planning, making and enjoying delicious meals. Participants will make fruit salads and smoothies, home-made salsa, a crock pot meal and a variety of desserts!
Budding artists will be eager to participate in our two-week Art Camp which will allow them to practice their skills in a variety of mediums such as painting, pottery and sketching. Campers will visit art museums in uptown Charlotte and decorate their own piece of pottery at Art Space Studio.
Children who dream of living in the days of sword fighting and duels will have their dreams come true at Fencing Camp! On top of providing physical activity, fencing provides an exceptional tactical and mental challenge. During the camp, students will learn footwork, blade work, and basic fencing tactics. At the end of the week, campers will be given the opportunity to bout (spar) with one another!
In addition to so many exciting specialty camps, PES is also offering a quality full-day camp known as Camp Gryphon! Each week students will explore a theme through crafts, books, trips and experiences. Campers will have a chance to continue their learning while getting plenty of opportunities to play. Themes include animal classification, superheroes and the Olympics! Our dedicated and enthusiastic staff will lead campers through daily tech time, reading groups, and water play. Campers will visit nature museums, splash parks, libraries and petting zoos! Campers will also participate in scavenger hunts, service projects, summer gardening and mini theater productions. Don’t let your child miss out on the summer camp experience of a lifetime!
