Charlotte City Tennis- ACEing public tennis in 2016

Charlotte City Tennis is bringing a whole new game to public tennis in Charlotte. Having started with a focus on tennis instruction, we have seen huge growth in both our junior and adult tennis programs. Last year, CCT began offering “Push the Pace” Jr. Player Development and High Performance clinics for players competing in middle school, high school, and tournament tennis. This was a natural progression for our current players who began playing as 6-12 year olds. Now, we truly can serve all aspects of juniors from first time “Little Aces” players all the way up to competitive players. In addition, we have launched monthly Jr. Play Days that offer a relaxed opportunity to participate in matches. These events always end with pizza! Lastly, there are summer camp opportunities at two locations specifically focusing on tennis development for ages 6+.

On the adult side; we are offering both Cardio Tennis, Shot of the Day, and Drill & Play clinics to complement our weekly schedule of level based group clinics. There is something for every age, gender, and skill level! We are also VERY excited about our in-house leagues served up “a la carte” with no membership dues, initiation fees, etc… You can sign up for the specific league you want to play with no other commitments. We’ve got a great software system that will allow all teams to manage their leagues online, check schedules, view results, and engage with fellow team members.

Charlotte City Tennis is proud to be leading the way for public tennis programming for the growing community in the Queen City. In partnership with Mecklenburg County Park and Rec, all of our programs run out of public facilities, specifically, the three largest tennis facilities in Charlotte- Jeff Adams Tennis Center (1200 W. Tyvola Rd), Park Rd. Park, and Freedom Park. We look forward to seeing you on the courts soon!
