If you’re into group workouts or fitness classes, then you know that it’s the people that really matter. Whether you’re at a barre studio, taking a class at the gym or meeting up with your home girls at the crack – it’s the energy of the others that keeps you coming back for more.
Group exercise junkies all have their absolute fave barre teachers, personal trainers, cycle instructors and fitness coaches; the ones where you’ll move heaven and earth to fit your schedule around when they are teaching and who motivate you so much that you’ll wake up with the roosters just to take their class.
Barb O’Shea at Carolina Barre & Core is one of these fitness icons. In every class, Barb devotes herself to making sure you push yourself to the max so that you get the most out of the workout. You may not think you can do it but Barb knows you can and just that little bit of knowledge will make you work harder in her classes. She inspires participants to new heights all in the name of strength.
A little more about Barb…
How long have you been at Carolina Barre & Core? I’ve been a client since the beginning two years ago and teaching since June 2014.
How did you get started? I was Amity’s groupie! I’ve been following her all over town for years.
Favorite song on your barre playlist? Anything by P!NK!
Favorite barre position? Chair with ball
What makes Carolina Barre & Core different? The people! Everyone is so friendly and warm!
The #1 reason people don’t exercise is lack of motivation. Find a fitness instructor to stalk! And by stalk, I mean find the teachers (and the community) that you click with and motivation will never be an issue!
