At Kinetic Kids Inc., we don’t look at our clinic as providing services to their patients, but rather providing solutions for their patients. We offer pediatric physical, occupational, speech, and art therapy solutions for children from ages 0-21 years. We also have more general wellness options for families. We offer a comprehensive Wellness Program for both children and teenagers. You will have the option of using this program in a one on one setting with the physical therapists at our clinic, or in a group class. This program includes yoga, Pilates, acupuncture and massage.
For those who have children who play sports, or enjoy running, we have a special program for them to stay in their best physical health during this time. We offer a pediatric running rehabilitation program at our clinic to keep them strong for the sports they love to play. Ask about our (low cost membership) running group that can socially benefit both parents and their kids! We will also offer Pediatric Laser Treatments, which will complement the running program. This is a non-invasive technique that has proven fast results. Come in and receive a consult and we will tell you if this technique will benefit your child.
We offer infant developmental group classes, as well as solutions for Children in the Early Intervention Community with developmental needs.
Specialized Therapeutic Services
Our staff is also trained in a variety of methods and therapeutic techniques for the treatment of speech and language challenges, fine and gross motor difficulties, and sensory integration dysfunction. Listed below are the specialized methods that we are pleased to offer at our center, starting by mid-June, 2015:
Concerns about Handwriting (viaHandwriting Without Tears)— The goal of Handwriting Without Tears® is to make handwriting an automatic and natural skill for children of all ability levels. Children and teachers enjoy HWT because it makes handwriting easy and fun to learn. With less than 10 minutes of instruction a day, children can learn to write well.
Sensory Integration Therapy: Our sensory gymnasiums help all children, regardless of whether or not they have a disability, to develop their sensory, communication, gross and fine motor skills. In addition to providing health and fitness benefits of a regular gym, sensory gyms also enhance a child’s self-esteem and social skills.
Solutions for Bed Wetting (The Safe Zone):We are one of the southeast’s few pediatric incontinence (bed wetting) programs. Did you know that nearly 20% of school-aged children have problems with incontinence? Unfortunately, very few providers are helping in this area but we are one of the clinics who’ve decided to step up to the plate, and make a difference for so many kids and their families.
Fast ForWord Family of Computer Programs— The FastForWord® Family of Computer Programs develops the critical processing and memory skills that are necessary for success in the classroom and in everyday life. This program is used at Kinetic Kids for children ages 5 through 16 years, who need to improve language, reading and overall communication skills.
Social Language Groups— Group goals include making introductions, asking questions, sharing ideas, expressing needs/wants, accepting suggestions, identifying emotions, monitoring body language, developing personal space recognition, repairing miscommunication, and listening to others. Stories, games, crafts, songs and videos will be used to enhance and supplement social language skills.
We also offer Craniosacral Therapeutic Solutions. Kinetic Kids, Inc. has the ONLY sensory gym in the Charlotte area, helpful for kids in need of physical, occupational, and/or speech language pathology solutions!
