Congratulations to Miller Street Dance Academy! They recently won “Community Involvement Program of the Year” at the 11th annual Stevie Awards for Women in Business for their Service Society. This is HUGE – we are so proud of a Charlotte-based-female-owned-and-operated business to do get this honor. AND, it’s for community service, which we know is near and dear to MSDA’s heart.
The Stevie Awards for Women in Business is an international competition produced by the creators of the prestigious International Business Awards and American Business Awards. The Stevie is widely considered to be the world’s premier business award. More than 1,200 nominations from organizations and individuals in 22 nations were submitted to the awards this year for consideration in categories including Entrepreneur of the Year, Executive of the Year, Most Innovative Company of the Year, and Best New Company of the Year, among others. More than 160 professionals around the world participated in the judging process to determine the Finalists and then the Gold, Silver and Bronze Stevie Award placements.

Miller Street Dance Academy was founded in 1994 with the aim of providing quality, tasteful dance instruction in a positive environment. Our goal is to cultivate young dancers into well-rounded individuals who have not only an appreciation for dance but who reach for high achievement in academics and community service, as well.
