On this Thanksgiving morning, we thought it would be the perfect time to map out your holiday plans with your family. One of our Smarty favorite events is a holiday tea. Your entire family will enjoy this special time. The QC has a variety of wonderful offerings all around town. Here goes!
2014 Holiday Tea at the Ritz-Carlton, Charlotte:
This year’s Holiday Tea menu is to feature traditional and contemporary tea sandwiches in flavors of salmon rillette, smoked chicken salad, “BLTea,” egg and pimento cheese, and foie gras and currant parfait. Further menu inclusions will be highlighted by freshly-baked orange-cranberry scones with preserves and Devonshire cream, petit chocolate éclairs, seasonal Bar Cocoa macarons, sweet potato cheesecake, apple tart bars, and chocolate-peppermint mille-feuille pastries. A special children’s tea menu will also offer delightful mini-sandwiches of Nutella with hazelnuts and southern ham and cheese, along with a colorful selection of holiday sweets, cookies and added beverages.

December 6, 7, 13, 14, 20 and 21, 2014.
Time:
Reservations start at 10:30 a.m. and continue through 3 p.m.
Cost:
Priced at $35 for adults and $25 for children under 12 years of age.

Holiday Afternoon Tea at the Ballantyne Hotel:
Enjoy Holiday Afternoon Tea in the Lobby throughout December. Holiday Afternoon Tea includes a variety of seasonal loose leaf tea blends and a selection of savory tea sandwiches, traditional confectionaries and holiday treats.
Dates/Times:
Tea is served Wednesday – Sundays in December from 1pm – 5pm (not available on Christmas). A harpist will perform during this time.
Cost:
The cost is $32 for adults and $16 for junior patrons ages 5-12 (plus tax & gratuity). A champagne tea is available for $40 per person. Reservations are required at (704)248-4100. For more info, click here.
Holiday Tea at Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden:
Celebrate the holiday season with an afternoon of traditional English tea at Daniel Stowe. Try different teas as you learn the benefits of each. Scrumptious snacks will be paired with your tea tastings. Gift baskets and other tea-related items will be offered for sale.

Cost:
$30 per person, Members receive 15% off. Includes admission to evening festivities.
