I’m obsessed with stacking bracelets. And lots of them. My big sis introduced me to my latest faves, Bourbon & Boweties bracelets. They were hands down my favorite Christmas gift under the tree this year. I fell hard in love and started my collection. And it’s no wonder. Bourbon & Boweties bracelets are meant to be worn up your arm and stacked with many different colors and stones. I can’t decide which design is my favorite: is it my custom coin bracelet from Chile or is it the dainty pearl or the chunky navy stone? I guess it depends on my mood. Here’s how it all started.
Straight from the South, designer and owner Carley Ochs started making bangles for friends and family after she discovered a market of fabulous gems and stones while she was abroad in Shanghai. Her design was to hand make souvenirs for her friends from the jade she stumbled upon while in China. From which, the first Bourbon and Boweties bangle was born. Unbeknown to Carley, that minute gesture of friendship bowed into a whirlwind of success and humility. Praised for her craftsmanship, Carley took her first batch of freshly made bangles to the heart of the South in a high end South Carolina boutique. That day in Charleston Bourbon and Boweties made its mark and continued to grow as a jewelry line that will forever be “Made by Proud Southern Hands.”

I first discovered Elizabeth McKay two years ago and absolutely fell head over heels in love with the simple feminine detail on every piece. I discovered Roberta Roller Rabbit line last year and immediately fell in LOVE. To me, it defines Bohemian chic. I absolutely love the bright colors, bold prints, and soft fabrics that she’s known for. Roberta Roller Rabbit is an offshoot of Roberta Freymann’s namesake label and is a relaxed, resort-inspired line that includes clothing for women, men, and children, as well as home furnishings and accessories. I dream of having curtains made out of her fabric, and an item from her children’s line would be the PERFECT gift for a new baby or the favorite child in your life.
One of my fave things in her line for women is the kurta (a tunic-like top with beautiful prints and colors). Jen and I sporting kurtas in the picture below, and I am holding one of the Roberta Roller Rabbit beach totes. This would be the perfect beach/pool bag – I could jam enough stuff in it for four kids no problem (I might even be able to fit my youngest in it!. :-))

All I want for Mother’s Day… After seven years of trying to have a baby and one heartbreaking miscarriage my husband and I are proud parents of a 2 month old baby boy. He is my entire world!!! So for Mother’s Day I don’t want anything because all of my prayers, hopes, and dreams have all come true!!! I will be spending the day loving on my little man and visiting my mom!!! God is so Good!!!

…is for my mother and father in law to experience some level of healing and improvement in their health. My mother-in-law has been suffering from bells palsy since last September and it breaks my heart it is still with her. My father-in-laws RA has worsened so badly they had to sew his eyes closed this week because of a staff infection. They both so badly need improvements in their health and nothing would make me happier than to get some news that things are improving for them.

All I want for Mothers Day is a few hours of Quality Alone Time (QAT)…relax – meaning I can sit on sofa with feet up and watch tv for 30 minutes without having to get drinks, food, toys etc. Go to bathroom by myself, not have to supervise my kids bathroom trips, a night off from bath time routine, sleep in for maybe an extra 30 minutes, etc. The list could go on and on and on…….And, of course, anything on the super cool above list!
All I want for Mother’s Day is a nice, quiet day spent with my family doing all of the things we love to do as a family. We will go to church, family lunch and then visit the grandmothers.
