“You don’t know summer, until you experience a Wildcat Summer!”
Charlotte’s Uptown is our playground! From catching a Charlotte Knights game at the new BB&T Ballpark to a picnic & tour of Duke Energy’s Energy Emplorium to riding the LYNX Light Rail on our Uptown “Amazing Race” challenges to touring the Panthers and Bobcats stadiums to performing on a real theatre stage, Wildcat campers take full advantage of our school’s unique proximity to the Queen City. Whether your child is passionate about the arts, sports, geography, technology, math or being green, Wildcat Summer Camp has it all!
At Trinity Episcopal School’s Wildcat Summer Camp, children in rising grades K-8 (ages 5-14) experience six weeks of fantastic full- and half-day camps packed with new experiences and exciting, hands-on learning.
What makes Wildcat Summer stand out?
Location: The learning and fun at Wildcat Summer Camp extends past the walls of our school as we take daily field trips and adventures into Uptown. Whether it’s seeing an IMAX movie at Discovery Place during Uptown Play Days, going to view a gallery at the Mint Museum for Artists in Action, or spending some down time playing in the fountains at The Green, the possibilities are endless for fun in our city.
Learning: We value serendipitous learning and aim to take advantage of real-life opportunities when they present themselves. Last summer, our Robotics and Investigations campers were invited by CMPD to visit their headquarters down the road to discuss with officers the use of math in their everyday work. How could we turn that down?!
We offer many different themed camps to meet the needs and interests of our diverse camper population.
– If your child is active and likes playing sports, we have our popular Good Sports and Court Vision Basketball camps.
– Are they more passionate about arts and drama? Try our Artists in Action or Wildcat Actors Studio camps.
– Do they love the outdoors and exploring? Our Queen City Quest, Camp Independence and Green-A-Palooza camps would be a perfect match.
– Got a techie on your hands? Try out these STEM camps: Robotics & Investigations Math Camp, Tinkering with Technology, and University Math CAMMP (run by UNCC professors).
Logistics: We know that most of our campers have one or both parents working full time. That’s why we offer complimentary before- and after-camp care (7:30-9am and 4-5:30pm). Our goal is to make your life easier and honestly, the campers don’t want to leave at the end of a great day at camp!
