“All you need is love. But a little chocolate now and then doesn’t hurt.”
― Charles M. Schulz
Sweet Escapes. The name says it all. One night surrounded by 500 pounds of chocolate. Chocolate sculptures, candies, cakes – even a chocolate river. But the best part is this night of indulgence benefits Community Link, a fantastic local organization.
Community Link is about helping individuals and families obtain and sustain safe, decent and affordable housing. They do this through Homeless to Housing programs, homeownership education, foreclosure counseling and financial literacy coaching. There’s more, but you get the picture. There’s work to be done and Community Link is doing it. Want to help? There are many ways to get involved – a few are listed below.
Which brings us back to chocolate. Community Link would also love your help getting ready for Sweet Escapes, coming up on May 31! We’re pretty sure the calories don’t count if it’s for a good cause.
Sweet Escapes – Planning committees are a calorie-free way to get involved and have some fun.
Financial Coach – A certified financial advisor is not who you need to be – rather, you’ll become a trusted friend to join a customer on their journey to self-sufficiency.
Guest Services Member – Community Link looks for enthusiastic people to help manage their front desk.
