YMCA Camp Harrison at Herring Ridge is located on a spectacular tract of land in the Brushy Mountains of North Carolina located between Lenoir and North Wilkesboro just 90 minutes from Charlotte, N.C. There are more than 2,000 acres of woods, streams, and trails centered around private, 140-acre Lake Broyhill.
At Traditional Resident Camp, campers ages 6-16 choose from over 21 land activities including: archery, paintball, ropes course, sports and crafts. Through their adventure tracks, which include The Dude Ranch, Vet Camp, Mom & Me, Beyond the Ridge Teen Leadership, Farm to Feast, Sportsman and CIT, each camper can create their own personalized experience. Campers will spend the morning in their track and spend the afternoon with the entire camp enjoying lake front and water activities including: kayaking, canoeing, water zip line, waterskiing, the “Blob” and the “Wet Willie”.

Located on beautiful Lake Wylie, S.C., this 100-acre camp is 20 minutes south of Charlotte, NC, and is easily accessible from all directions. Since 1936, Camp Thunderbird has provided thousands of kids an unforgettable experience that includes adventure, fun, and friendship! Vote for the 2013 Jen Lisman Bunich Smarty Mom of the Year!
When we think of one person who epitomizes all things mommyhood, we think of Jen Bunich. In her two and a half short years as a new mommy, she embraced that role like no other. Jen immersed herself in all aspects of being a mother to her sweet Claire in her work, home life and play life.
On Monday, January 13th, we would like to name one 2013 Smarty Mom the “Jennifer Lisman Bunich Smarty Mom of the Year” in honor of our favorite Smarty Mom ever.
Our Smarty Mom of the Year will be selected after Smarty Charlotte casts their votes! We selected six Smarty Moms based on a variety of reasons, whether it’s a mom who is battling to end childhood cancer, one who is making a difference in our community, one who is putting herself out there as a new mompreneur, one who is bringing new life onto this earth or one who is just plain living the Smarty Mommy lifestyle. We love all of our Smarty Moms equally and it was hard to select just a few! The winner will receive a $100 gift card from our favorite spa, The Spa at Ballantyne.
