Smarties, we’re super excited to tell you about a new barre class in town that opened this week, Carolina Barre & Core! Founded by the Charlotte fitness circuit legend, Amity Whalen, and her biz partner, Dr. Grace Savage, dentist by day, barre junkie by night, this power duo has opened up a new barre & core shop tucked right in the heart of Myers Park. I couldn’t be more proud of these Smarty Mamas! Amity has blazed the fitness trails in Charlotte for over a decade – she’s highly trained in yoga, pilates, barre and more. We’re thrilled that she has a place of her own – it’s her time to shine!
So what will you find at Carolina Barre & Core? You’re guaranteed to find and embrace your core, strengthen and lengthen your muscles and create a greater sense of peace, love and community. We love their motto: No judgements, just results!
What is Barre Fusion?
A calorie burning, fat blasting workout designed to strengthen and tone muscles, sculpt arms, legs and abdominals as well as lift the butt.
What is OM Fusion?
A twist on traditional yoga class, OM fusion focuses on finding and moving from the core. Classes will combine some weight work and body weight resistance.
Two different classes, two different results! I’m personally really excited to see such a depth of barre classes now offered in the Charlotte community. Believe it or not, the barre method has been taught for over 30 years. It’s a lifestyle, just like yoga. I’m 100% addicted to anything barre. And I’m looking forward to my very first barre fusion class tomorrow at 8:30am. Anyone want to join?!
