Coming off of the “Drowning Doesn’t Look Like Drowning” blog above, we wanted to highlight our Smarty Winner for three years and running in the annual Smarty Awards for “Best Place to Take Swimming Lessons” – Charlotte Swim Academy! They offer lessons for all ages and you’ll find the best instructors, cleanest facilities, a flexible class schedule and a variety class offerings.
The hot class this summer at Charlotte Swim Academy is the week-long summer session. Think of this as a condensed swimming microburst where your child swims four days in a row each week (Mon-Thu). The advantage of this type of lesson is that it allows for condensed learning times for little ones during the season when they are most likely swimming in other places like pools, clubs, vacation destinations, etc. Familiarity, with both the water and the same daily instructor, and frequency work hand-in-hand to produce the best results for those just learning to swim and those who want a refresher course for the summer. Swimmers who are learning during times when they also have the opportunity to practice their new skills in other pool setting soften see enhanced progress. These weekly classes are super convenient over the summer when we have less weekly activity commitments, or so we’d like to think! Another perk of these lessons is that they are private, which allows for the student to learn at his/her own individualized pace.
So if you think your child needs a refresher, check out CSA’s website here for availability and pricing and advice on which lesson type is the right fit for your child.
While you’re at it, you may want to go ahead and take a gander at the fall class schedule. As we all know too well, summer will be over before we know it!
