Small Hands Big Art has awesome camps for ages 4-14, so there is something for everyone! Smarty Alert — even though school isn’t out for another 8 weeks, signup for these camps is now in progress and spaces fill up quickly.
Small Hands Big Art Mixed Media Camps
During mixed media art camps, children explore painting, drawing, 3D sculpture, collage, assemblages, printmaking & more. Children are segregated into different age groups to work on age-appropriate projects, or may work on the same open-ended project with modifications for their age.
Two Mixed Media Camp Locations:
Main Ballantyne Studio: Weekly June 10 – August 23, Monday – Thursday, $180/week per child per session.
Dilworth / Myers Park: Covenant Recreation Center, 1000 E. Morehead St. Weekly June 10 – August 23.
Monday – Friday, Two sessions daily: 9a-12p, and 1-4p.
Cost: $220/week per child per session. 10% sibling & multiple camp discount.
Small Hands Big Art Ceramics/Pottery Camps
In Small Hands Big Art’s ceramics/pottery camps, taking place at the Weddington Activity Center, students age 6-14 will learn all aspects of creating original works of art out of clay, including hand building & sculpting techniques using a variety of clay tools, glazing techniques, and an introduction to the pottery wheel. Children will finish several pieces of art by the end of this exciting week! Finished glazed pieces will be available for pick up the following week.
Monday-Friday, 2-5p
Weeks: Weekly June 10 – August 23, no camp week of June 24, July 1, & Aug. 5.
$220/week per child (includes all materials). 10% sibling and multiple camp discount.
