Smarties, mark your calendars – it’s time to have a family night out, all for a good cause! On April 10, Brixx Wood Fired Pizza locations across the state are hosting a fundraiser for the Emily’s Kids Foundation.
The founder of Emily’s Kids, Craig Field of Greensboro, established the foundation to honor the memory of his daughter, Emily Field, who was diagnosed with cancer just before her freshman year at Duke. She died not long after, but asked that donations made to her be given to families of children with cancer so that they can have financial support when traveling to receive cancer treatment. It’s a small organization with huge dreams. Since its creation in 2009, it has already made a tremendous impact donating $136,000 to families throughout the state. The support comes in the form of gas cards, dining cards, Wal-Mart cards — all of which help sustain families as they struggle to spend time with their children in the hospital. In some cases, these are the last days they’ll have with them.
On April 10, ten Brixx Wood Fired Pizza locations across North Carolina will play host to a fundraiser for Emily’s Kids. To participate in Emily’s Kids Brixx Buxx Night, guests should print this form and present it to their server on April 10th. Brixx will donate $3 for every 10″ pizza and $1 for every kids pizza.
So enjoy a night out with your families, Smarty Charlotte – hit the Brixx!
