LKN Artisan Marketplace to Benefit Kenyan Children

Find one-of-a-kind gifts handcrafted by local and international artisans while helping improve the lives of Kenyan children at the Lake Norman Artisan Marketplace at KadiFit in the Oak Street Mill in Cornelius. Art and handcrafts from across the globe will be showcased at the annual Marketplace, a fundraiser for The Kilgorist Project, which educates, feeds and provides medical care for hundreds of children in rural Kenya. Sale items include jewelry, accessories, handbags, home décor items, children’s clothing and other artistry gathered from across Africa and around the world. Many of the Kenyan items are handmade by Upendo, the Kilgoris Project’s women’s co-op. Local artisans from Lake Norman and the Charlotte region also will have work available for purchase. A wide selection of bakery items, including gluten-free treats, will be offered, and live music will run throughout the day.
