I was recently invited to attend a bloggers’ event where a new car seat was being revealed. I collect car seats like it’s nobody’s business, so I was game! I have had almost every brand of car seat with my first child and with #2 sitting in the NICU awaiting discharge, I was ready to learn all about the latest and greatest Graco has to offer.
So I headed to SouthPark to learn about the SnugRide® Click Connect™ 40. What I learned is that this new seat is the only infant car seat that provides rear-facing protection for babies from birth to 2 years old, as recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics. The infant car seat grows with babies from four pounds up to forty pounds, so parents can keep their children rear facing longer, while making sure they stay comfortable as they grow.
My favorite feature by far that was revealed at the #GracoSafety event was how the base can adjust with eight different reclining positions to allow for more leg room. There is even a foot rest on this seat to help curb the back of the seat kicking that can drive a mom nuts!! And the Simply Safe Adjust harness system allows parents to adjust the harness and headrest with just one hand to fit their baby’s height as their baby grows. I hate to re-thread car seat straps and this takes care of that lickety-split.
If you have ever had a baby in the NICU, you know that in order to go home, they have to pass a car seat test. They have to keep their heart rate and respiration even for an hour and a half while seated in the seat. I am happy to say that my 31 week preemie passed the car seat test in the Graco SnugRide® Click Connect™ 40 with flying colors and I took her home at 36 weeks in my new stylish seat from Graco.
The Graco SnugRide® Click Connect™ 40 – the first and only newborn to two-year infant car seat that actually grows with your baby from four pounds all the way up to 40 pounds. The car seat is designed for a parent on the go. The infant car seat can be easily removed from the base and used as a carrier when the infant is small, providing portability and convenience so you can easily move your infant in and out of the car without disturbing them.
The American Academy of Pediatrics recently made the recommendation to keep all children in rear-facing car seats until the age of 2. Graco set out to make this product so parents can keep infants rear facing longer while still keeping them comfortable.

Lisa – this sounds like a neat car seat. I am just getting ready to switch to a convertible car seat because our daughter is running out of leg room in our current carrier. Thanks for the review!
