I discovered Elizabeth McKay this summer while shopping in one of my favorite boutiques, Cottage Chic on East Boulevard. As I’ve gotten to know Elizabeth’s style and story, I learned that she originally hails from NC, which is why we love her even more! Her designs are full of color, bold prints and sophistication. I am drawn to the classic Jackie-O look and the use of ruffles are absolutely stunning. Her fabrics are luxurious and her pieces are timeless. You will want to build this collection for years to come.

My 11-year-old daughter, Ansley, was the photographer for the entire Smarty Fall Fashion Giveaway Week. She’s a ‘lil Smarty in the making! We had such fun playing dress-up and grown-up, it made me relax a tiny bit as I add this major disclaimer:

This 50′s dress is my favorite piece in the collection, any pattern. I love every bit of it. Can somebody please invite me to their party and fast? It’s fabulous, fun, flirty, fits like a glove, need I say more?
My next fave is the Scotland Wrap Dress in Stirrup, loving this equestrian theme!

How am I the only one who loves those shirt dresses! I love them in the horse bits Orange/red or the Purple peacock print in Ba-nanas. I would wear them year round, just change up belts and boots for tie belts with pumps.
