Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella by NoDa School of the Arts
NC Blumenthal Performing Arts Center’s Booth Playhouse
August 3-5, 7:00pm
Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella, presented by students in grades 9 through12. The timeless enchantment of a magical fairy tale is reborn with the Rodgers & Hammerstein hallmarks of originality, charm and elegance. Transporting a new generation to the miraculous kingdom of dreams-come-true, this production is based off the 1997 television remake, which starred Brandy as Cinderella and Whitney Houston as her Fairy Godmother. As adapted for the stage, with great warmth and more than a touch of hilarity, the hearts of children and adults alike still soar when the slipper fits. Our favorite songs like, ‘In My Own Little Corner’, ‘The Stepsister Lament’, ‘Ten Minutes Ago’, and ‘Impossible’ will send us back to our childhoods and introduce this classic to a whole new generation. Cost is $15, $12 for children under 12.
