Words cannot describe how excited I am to partner with my idols at Lilly Pulitzer! I knew the minute I saw the Lilly Jeep hit the streets of the Queen City, that this was a match made in heaven – a pink & green one of course!
The Smarty crew was invited to meet the designers behind the “Lillification” of SouthPark this week. Let me just say, this has been SOOO much fun! It made me want to skip town and go on a vacay to the tropics! Don’t be mistaken, Lilly offers just as fabulous winter clothing as they do spring/summer, so it’s a year-round vacation in all things Lilly.
Each dressing room has a hand-painted theme, centered around Charlotte. The Queen City toile is definitely one to admire as it features landmarks all over Charlotte but with a Lilly twist. I was hoping nobody would notice if I swiped the Lilly ottoman, it would go perfectly in my daughter’s bedroom!
The Lilly team consists of some incredibly talented and inspiring minds. Let’s meet them in action!
Visual Director, Jose Cuadra and Print Designer, Holly Guertin
Print Designer, Rebecca Allred
Assistant Manager, Debbie Meyers and Associate Manager, Katie Driscoll
One of my favorite Lilly discoveries was reading the “Lilly Law” that is painted in the back hallway leading to the bathroom. Here you will find the most precious quotes perfectly exemplifying the Lilly lifestyle. Here are a few of my Smarty faves:
“We believe that color should make you happy. Ditch the ones that don’t.”
“We believe that you should know the rules but break them as much as you want.” Here’s a perfect example: White jeans after Labor Day? Lilly would say OF COURSE!
“We believe the more colors the better, as long as the outfit is cute.”
“We believe that parents who can get their kids through flights without crying are superheroes. And those who can’t should be helped not sneered at.”
Smarties, we are thrilled to welcome our friends at Lilly Pulitzer SouthPark and can’t wait for you to meet them! We will be documenting their progress over the next week. Stay tuned for tips for you to win a Lilly giveaway on CSP as well as details on the Grand Opening festivities! The first thing you MUST do is like them on facebook!
CSP {hearts} all things pink & green, ESPECIALLY Lilly Pulitzer:-)
A special thank you goes out to Brooke Brown Photography – her photos speak for themselves. She is truly gifted! And to Kristen Assell (photographed with moi above:-), Manager of Lilly Pulitzer SouthPark who made this journey so much fun! ~Jen
