The World’s Largest Automotive Extravaganza returns to Charlotte Motor Speedway. The Food Lion AutoFair annually attracts more than 100,000 visitors. It features more than 50 car clubs and more than 10,000 vendor spaces that offer a huge array of automotive parts and memorabilia. More than 1,500 collectible vehicles of all makes and models will be available for sale in the car corral that rings the 1.5-mile superspeedway. The Food Lion AutoFair will also feature a collector car auction and the Powerade Play Zone for kids with racing-themed inflatable slides, obstacle courses, bounce houses, face painters and interactive displays, such as the Lego Build Zone. Cost is $10; free 12 and younger, $5 parking fee.

SouthPark invites local families and friends to gather on the lawn at Symphony Park to enjoy some sizzling summer entertainment! Every Friday from August 5 – 26, the mall will host Movies Under The Stars, a free night of movies and more, where shoppers can enjoy featured films, themed for families, under the stars on an impressive 30-foot screen. To jump-start the night, pre-event activities will entertain the crowd beginning at 7:00 p.m. including a live band. Tasty concessions and cold drinks will be available for purchase all night. This week’s movie is “Rio” (G).
International House: A Children’s World of Play
