Join us for Charlotte’s most exciting, imaginative and uplifting cultural event of the year. Our celebration features a fantastic array of events and activities for all to enjoy in a safe, alcohol-free environment. Taking place on New Year’s Eve, there is plenty to do for kids and adults. There is a kids portion of First Night from 3-7pm with a kid’s countdown from 7-7:45 on 7th street!Evening programming from 8-11:30 with the finale countdown at the main stage until midnight!! Cost is $10, kids 7-12 are $5 and under 6 is free.

First Night Kids is perfect for the entire family, and kicks off First Night Charlotte. Kids of all ages can enjoy the music, dance, theater, history, science and much more. First Night Kids is scheduled between 3 PM and 7 PM with events and performances at ImaginOn, Levine Museum of the New South, City Market (Former Reid’s store on 7th street) and Discovery Place (PLEASE NOTE: Discovery Place will close at 6:00pm)
