We are super excited to bring you another two-fer Smarty Mom Saturday. We love when girlfriends team up to pursue a joint passions. This is the case with Jessica Stanfield and Christi Pack, founders of Towne & Reese, a boutique jewelry line. They are former co-workers in the advertising world who shared workspace and a love of fashion and accessories. They formed a friendship and soon discovered how hard it was to add jewelry to the wardrobe without breaking the bank. They then did what Smarty Moms do best, they created and designed the jewelry themselves! Named for their daughters, Towne & Reese was born and now affordable, well-crafted and timeless pieces can find their way to our homes. If this weren’t enough, they honor the women in their lives by naming the pieces of jewelry for their daughters. Friends, meet Jessica and Christi.
Hubby – Taylor
Children – son, Robert(4 ½), daughter, Reese(2 ½)

Tell us about Towne & Reese jewelry
Towne & Reese believes you shouldn’t have to spend a fortune to look stylish. We design fun and trendy jewelry that fits into almost any budget.
What inspired you to launch the line?
We both love to shop but found a void in statement accessories at an affordable price. We knew the style and price point we wanted and decided to give it a shot.
Where can we find it locally?
Scout & Molly’s, Blis, Sloan, Bedside Manor, Buttercup, Bucketts and Mole Hole.
Tell us about any upcoming trunk shows or events?
There will be several local trunk shows launching the Fall line in October.
So you two have been friends for awhile. How has it been doing business with your best friend?
We actually met when we were working together in advertising. We were colleagues first, friends second. We both bring different strengths and areas of expertise to our partnership, the fact that we enjoy each other and have fun working together is just icing on the cake.
What tips do you have for other mompreneurs out there trying to get started?
Take the plunge! It has been the best thing we’ve ever done. It has definitely been scary but being your own boss and seeing your dream come true is well worth it.
As fashion mommy icons, what are your favorite digs to score kids clothes & shoes?
Everything from H&M, Gap, Old Navy and Target to Fancy Pants and MiniSocial.com. Not to mention we’ve both been given great hand-me-downs.

Between family and starting a business, we both haven’t had time for reading outside of kid’s books and business journals.
Funniest thing your kids have ever said to you?
CP – At a funeral viewing Towne looked into the coffin and yelled out “Who’s That?” Mortifying!
JS – We were on a flight recently and right as we were about to take off, Reese started screaming “I have to make a poop mommy!” at the top of her lungs. Unfortunately we had just finished potty training.
Best birthday party you’ve attended/hosted?
Towne’s first birthday party. Christi printed out photos of Towne from the past year and had them hanging on the wall with string and clothes pins. She had a huge cake in the shape of word one. And the cutest favors.

Minivan or suv and why?
JS – I have always been a small SUV person but am about to switch over to the minivan camp. You just can’t beat the space, functionality and fuel economy.
CP – Definitely an SUV. 🙂 I only have 1 child right now, so the space isn’t as much as an issue for me. We’ll see if Jessica pulls me to the other side.

Favorite CSP article so far?
An article about car seat safety. It is an oldie but it has stuck with me. It outlined the government rules for ages and weights for each type of car seat.
