Hey Smarties! I am sure many of you have already been in Buy Buy Baby, but for those of you who haven’t then you should definitely go check it out. It is located on South Blvd. practically right next to Babies R Us. A little friendly competition possibly?
It is a sister company of Bed Bath and Beyond. So you get that same kind of feel when you walk in. I was actually impressed with the setup and everything is so nice, organized and clean! I definitely would prefer to come here versus Babies R Us. Not to mention that you can use your Bed Bath and Beyond 20% off coupons!! (As long as they are not expired you can use them.) You want to check at the bottom for exclusions on certain brands but I was told on the phone today that you can usually use them on Britax and Graco. They will also accept competitors coupons as long as they aren’t expired or again, the exclusions. That saves a ton when you are buying a Britax car seat! I saved $92 today by using two Babies R Us coupons.
They have a bunch of higher end items like the Orbit carseat stroller system. You can also find Bob and Baby Jogger Strollers, as well as Bugaboo.
The staff was super friendly and actually quite knowledgeable. Now I am not saying to ditch our awesome local retailers but it is a sweet change from having to go to Babies R Us for some items.
If for no other reason, then you should go to engage in the Orbit dance party. I tried to video, with my phone, one of my boys jamming to the music on the instructional video they play there. I was unsuccessful on catching a repeat performance. 🙁
One warning is to beware of “organic” products being sold at Babies R Us and Buy Buy Baby. Some things such as crib sheets may be 100% organic cotton but watch out for certain items like crib mattresses. They take the same toxic conventional mattress and wrap it in organic cotton and try to pass it off as “organic.” You are basically getting ripped off and buying a mattress still filled with chemicals, flame retardants, etc. So make sure you do your research.
So tell us what your thoughts are about the new Buy Buy Baby and what you have used your 20% off coupons to purchase!

Buy Buy Baby is a great store! I remember the first time I went into one in Georgia and it was bright and so clean 🙂 However, I do think the prices are higher on certain things so definitely make sure you shop around because you can pay a lot more if you get from Buy Buy Baby if you aren't careful. But ofcourse if you have a coupon you can save a lot
NIce store, good selection, but seriously, who needs a $900 stroller, little excessive don't you think!!
We randomly found Buy Buy Baby after we passed the road for the mall and were turning around. I thought it might be a knock-off store since the name is so random. I was pleasantly surprised when we walked in at how organized and bright the store was. They have a larger selection of baby gates and safety accessories than Babies R Us. I did feel like I walked into a Baby version of Bed Bath and Beyond, but at the time we didn't know they were related. While I never could find bedding at BRU, I fell in love with the bedding selection at Buy Buy Baby. They have a nursing/changing room like BRU. The associates were much more friendly at Buy Buy Baby. One even stopped what she was doing and walked me to where the bathroom was (since somehow I missed it!). I can't wait to go back and register since we're now expecting #2!!
cool
We shop at both and use coupons all the time – a must with 2 kids under 4 – and I must day, I like the increased selection of items at Buy Buy Baby and the fact that they seem to have much more in stock. Babies-R-Us has lots online, but then you have to pay shipping, etc., which adds to the cost. Besides, I would rather test drive some of the stuff for my kids, like the new McLaren double stroller we just bought. Some things you just have to see in person. I do think it's great that they're located so close to each other, and I anticipate some good competitive pricing now. The only negative I can say about BBB is that it can be rather overwhelming, with all of that gear everywhere!
Do they sell bigger kid furniture or just baby focused?
