Do you find yourself yelling more than you’d like? Is defiance a problem at your house? Is your family one characterized by yelling, negativity, tantrums, and fights over the morning routine and homework? Well, let me tell you about Kirk Martin!!
Kirk Martin and his “Celebrate Calm” workshop changed the way my husband and I parent. Having 3 boys, ages 4, 6 and 8, there were not as many calm moments in our home as we would have liked. Then last summer, I saw Kirk speak in Charlotte. I was able to immediately implement very practical solutions to the yelling and defiance that plagued my home. I was able to understand why my oldest son, who has some anxiety and sensory issues, does things the way he does. My husband and I no longer have as much anxiety about our boys’ behavior and do not try to control their behavior like we used to. And, as a result, our kids have become more cooperative and know that only they can control the way they behave…and that empowers them. It is a work in progress but one that has produced rewards for our family.
Here are what others who saw Kirk had to say:
“Kirk’s methods helped my family to see how we all contribute to the
relative calm, or lack of it, created by our behaviors and reactions, and
gave us new tools that all of us use every day. Having a doctorate in
psychology myself, I haven’t found any program that brings more
understanding and “calm” than Kirk’s, as he combines his own experience and personal knowledge with the research he has put forth into making this program. It is reality based, powerful and accessible.” Stephanie, Psy.D.
”I got so much out of Kirk’s workshop, both as a mother and as a teacher. Seeing Kirk gave me great ideas on how to parent more effectively and practically. I also learned new techniques for dealing with intense children in my classroom.” Beth, CMS Teacher
If you are a parent or a teacher, you will benefit from Kirk’s message. If you are a parent or a teacher of an “intense” child, it will be an even bigger bonus for you to hear what Kirk has to say. And Dads, this is for you too! Kirk is simply a dad who realized the way he was parenting his son by fear and intimidation wasn’t working, so he made some changes and they worked! You’ll be able to identify with a lot of what he says. So please join us for this FREE workshop for teachers and parents. Kirk will be at:

Do you have to sign-up/register? or just show up? Thanks for the info!
Just show up! And don't forget your Smarty girlfriends and neighbors!
Will they give information at the workshop or will they want you to buy their CDs? The website mentions some very expensive CDs.
Kirk does sell his CDs on the website and at the workshop, but there are no hard sells or high pressure gimmicks. He gives loads of info at the workshop and you can sign up for a newsletter he writes twice a week that also has really pratical info in it. And it's all free! He's great.
