Congratulations to Ashley Rohats on opening the second location of Miss Monkey’s Boutique in Huntersville! I have had the pleasure of shopping at her other location in the Black Lion-Pineville. Ashley has done a fabulous job on having an assortment of goodies for the green mommy. Miss Monkey’s Boutique carries a huge selection of cloth diapers and all the accessories you need to cloth diaper your child. It is so much more convenient to be able to go and actually see the diapers versus ordering online. This is especially true if you are new to cloth diapers. You can touch and feel the various styles/brands and decide which one will best suit your family. Ashley cloth diapered her two young girls so she really is a wealth of information. She has also taught some classes on how to cloth diaper your child for those of you who are interested in giving it a try!
Ashley is also really well known for the amber teething necklaces she sells at the boutique. She has one of the largest selections around! These necklaces are widely used by Europeans for their children’s teething discomforts. I had not heard of these until I saw them at Miss Monkey’s Boutique. I find them quite fascinating! They are placed on the wrist or neck and it’s the warmth of the skin that causes the amber to release healing oils. You do NOT chew these. Of course the baby or child should be supervised while wearing and should be removed before bed and naptime. They have also helped adults with different ailments. You can find more information about the amber beads on Miss Monkees website.
I have listed a few examples below of what you will find at the boutique in addition to the large selection of cloth diapering supplies.
-Amber necklaces
-Amber teething necklaces
-Baby legs
-Wrap N Mats
-Eco friendly toys – HABA, Melissa and Doug, etc.
-Natural insect repellent- Buzz patches for children and adults
-Baby bottles
-Earth Mama Angel baby products
-Diaper pail liners
-Adiri bottles
-Lily Padz
-Sippy cups- examples are The Safe Sippy Cup and Klean Kanteen
-Natursutten all natural rubber pacifiers
-Baby carriers- Moby Wrap and Ergo carrier
-Super cute fairy wings
-Adorable bows, tutus, headbands- bows are handmade by Ashley herself! She has been doing this for years and has a great following.
Miss Monkey’s Boutique has an online store and a gift registry is available. If you are even considering cloth diapering this would be the perfect idea. You can register for your diapers and then you will have a bunch to start out with. This is one of the main complaints that I hear about cloth diapers…. the start up cost (even though it will save you money in the long run).
I highly recommend checking out Miss Monkey’s Boutique. Whether you are looking for yourself or for a baby/birthday gift, you are sure to find something here! See the website for more information and exact store locations.
Again, congratulations to Ashley on a job well done! Even more important, thank you for making this a one stop shop for local moms.

The amber necklaces and bracelets Ashley sells are wonderful! I have no pain from carpal tunnel when I wear the bracelets. It's been like a miracle for me!Ashley is a fountain of knowledge too! She can advise you on any of the products she carries as she has personally tested them all!
Yeah! Ashley. I have been a fan of Ashley from the days she started with her bows. She was wonderful resource when I was trying to figure out the whole cloth diaper world and she is a wonderful part of University City Mommies. Congrats, Ashley. I've already been to the new location.
