We’re big on stocking stuffers in our house. We don’t put a lot in the stocking – just fun little treats. It’s the official sign that Santa was really here! However, my hubby seems to forget me in the mix of this very important ritual. For the last two years, my oldest was convinced that my behavior was less than desirable according to Santa’s standards since my stocking was hanging empty on Christmas morning! So remind your hubbies not to forget!
Here are my picks for cool stocking stuffers:
Turbo tooth tunes – great for all ages, including my 2-year-old twins. What I love about this is that the song is the correct length of time recommended for brushing and they love to dance to their favorite tune, truly music in their mouths! “Rock Star” performed by Miley Cyrus or “What Time is It” performed by the cast of High School Musical 2 and Jonas Brothers will be in our stockings for my 7- and 5-year-old girls. The Junior versions (The Jungle Book, The Lion King, If You’re Happy and You know it) will be in the twins stockings. Tooth tunes cost $9.99 and you can find them at Target.
I always make a CD mix from Santa for our stockings. My girls really believe that he made a playlist just for them! High School Musical 3 for 5-9 year olds would be a great addition this year. The boys love Truck Tunes!
Other things to include are lip gloss, pens/paper, crayons, and Matchbox cars. Share your stocking stuffer treats!

My 4 year old LOVES Band-Aids, so he is getting 2 of his own boxes in his stocking. He also only likes Talbots Kids underwear, and so he is getting new underwear that I was able score off Ebay. My daughter will also get underwear as she only likes Limited too and Justice brands. They think it is hilarious that Santa puts underwear in their stockings.
Toothbrushes and Band-Aids for us also.
I was at the University city Target last night and found those small truck shaped books (with wheels on the bottom) in the dollar bins. Those are a hit with my 2 y.o.
Our twins love those truck shaped & wheeled books too, so thanks for that Smarty tip! We also got our twins those really small tin lunch boxes for cheap at HT, they love just carrying them around & putting things in them (match box cars, bead necklaces, etc.). Also found some fingernail brushes for the bath that are shaped like animals, found those pretty cheap at Beauty Brands in Birkdale.
