Join North Carolina Dance Theatre for a perfect holiday tradition! Jean-Pierre Bonnefoux’s Nutcracker will be performed live with the Charlotte Symphony December 12-14 and 19-21 at Belk Theater at the Blumenthal Performing Arts Center. Presented by Levine Children’s Hospital, Nutcracker features a cast of more than 100 dancers, including both the professional dancers of NC Dance Theatre as well as students from the Charlotte community.
This classic family ballet is portrayed through the eyes of a young and talented Clara. Featuring a glamorous Sugar Plum fairy, a brave Nutcracker prince and a lovable, and quite large Mother Ginger, Nutcracker’s timeless tale takes children and adults alike on a journey filled with wonder, magic and holiday cheer. Just for kids, NC Dance Theatre launched a fun website, www.ncdance.org/nuttykids, that includes information about the Nutcracker story, fun facts and special activities and contests.
