Summary: Parents bring your kids to Marion Diehl for a night of fun. Kids grab your baskets and hop on down for a glow in the dark Easter egg hunt. Eggs will be spread out all around the playground and one may have a special surprise!! We will also have stations for games and crafts in the gym and multi-purpose room.

Summary: After a two-year wait, Charlie’s Carnival is back in Stumptown Park. Enjoy bounce houses, games, face painting, food trucks, and more. This free community carnival is open to all, but registration is required. All proceeds will support Charlie’s Heart Foundation.
2022 Knights Fest

Summary: Gates will open at 11:00 a.m. and fans will be permitted on the field for a special pre-game catch for one hour (11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.). Fans are encouraged to bring their gloves to participate! In addition, there will also be a number of kid-friendly activities including face painters, balloon artists and inflatable games available. Fans will also be able to take a behind-the-scenes tour of Truist Field and meet Homer The Dragon throughout the day. The event will once again feature the annual Media Softball Game. Field box seats will be open for all fans and seating will be available to watch the game on a first-come, first-serve basis. Following the National Anthem at 12:30 p.m., notable members of Charlotte radio and television will face off in a softball game. A full list of participants will be announced leading up to the game.

Take in the local art scene on South End First Friday–an evening when galleries and shops offer extended hours, special receptions, live painting and music. Build in a visit to any of the neighborhood’s restaurants and breweries, and it’s a whole night out!

Summary: Local artist Meredith Connelly is lighting it up again! She is known in Charlotte for her Fairy Ring installation in the 2021 I Heart Rail Trail: Lights installation, and for her Lights art trail at the U.S. Whitewater Center in 2019 and 2020. This installation will be a supercharged version of the fairy ring of 2021. It will include about 100 cast fiberglass fungi of various sizes, representing mushrooms from around the world.Each mushroom has internal light that creates a soft glow around it. About the Artist.
