Make a difference in someone’s life by donating a coat during the 10th Annual Charlotte Coat Drive, presented by Charlotte Mechanical. 100% of donations go to the Salvation Army of Greater Charlotte. This year more than ever, there are many people in Charlotte looking ahead to a cold winter without a coat. The goal is 6,000 coats!
How? From now – Nov. 13, drop a new or gently used coat – adult or youth – at a barrel partner location. From churches to private and public businesses to first responders, there are 50+ locations across Charlotte. Or, bring your coats to the parking lot of Dilworth Neighborhood Grille On Nov. 13; between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. for Zip-Up Day. It’s how we zip up the drive! You’ll be greeted with free food, music, mascots, giveaways and some zippy surprises. Drive through and go or join us for a bit. This year there will also be a contact-less drive-through. Stay in your car and just pop your trunk. Check the website closer to the day for any logistics updates due to the pandemic.
