Although we’re really sad that all Charlotte Symphony concerts have been suspended through June 2020, we’re really excited about the launch of their new FREE digital platform, #CSOatHome.
While its doors are closed, the Charlotte Symphony will continue to share performances and educational resources that provide strength, comfort, and joy at cltsymphony.org/csoathome. #CSOatHome will be a place to connect with the Charlotte Symphony through streaming audio of past CSO performances, listening guides, educational materials, and more. Additional digital content — including videos and radio broadcasts — will be released in the coming weeks.
Here is the #CSOatHome line-up so far:
-Dvorak’s Symphony No. 7 (I. Allegro vivace), led by Music Director Christopher Warren-Green, recorded live in March 2017. Plus, enjoy an introduction from Music Director Christopher Warren-Green and a listening guide by Resident Conductor Christopher James Lees!
-Mendelssohn’s “Italian” Symphony (I. Allegro vivace), led by Music Director Christopher Warren-Green and recorded live in Nov. 2018, which we dedicate now to the people of Italy. Plus, enjoy an introduction from Music Director Christopher Warren-Green and a listening guide by Resident Conductor Christopher James Lees!
We think this is the perfect thing to do this Easter weekend with your family. I shared this program with my dad, who LOVES classical music. He’s so sad to be by himself while he’s quarantined in his retirement community in Florida. He is so excited about this, so thank you, Charlotte Symphony for all that you do! I encourage you to share with your parents and grandparents, such a gift to all!
